Ingredients:
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Vegetables: Steam or blanch the broccoli and cauliflower florets until they are slightly tender. You can do this by placing them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then draining and rinsing with cold water.
- Make the Cheese Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux. Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
