Roasted Pork Tenderloin
On December 11, 2023 by userRoasted pork tenderloin is a flavorful and tender dish that’s relatively quick and easy to prepare. Here’s a simple recipe for roasted pork tenderloin:
Ingredients:
- 2 pork tenderloins (about 1 to 1.5 pounds each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the Pork Tenderloin:
- Pat the pork tenderloins dry with paper towels. This helps to achieve a better sear.
- Season the Pork:
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning paste.
- Rub the Seasoning:
- Rub the seasoning paste evenly over the surface of the pork tenderloins, making sure to coat them thoroughly.
- Optional Marinade:
- If you have time, you can marinate the pork tenderloins in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate. However, you can proceed directly to roasting if you’re short on time.
- Sear the Pork:
- Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add a bit of oil if needed.
- Sear the pork tenderloins on all sides until browned. This step helps to seal in the juices.
- Roast in the Oven:
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Roast the pork tenderloins for about 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.
- Rest and Slice:
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
- Optional: Spread Dijon mustard over the pork tenderloins for an extra layer of flavor before slicing.
- Serve:
- Slice the pork tenderloins into medallions.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
