On December 10, 2023 by userIngredients:
- 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup water
- Zest of one orange (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or debris.
- In the Instant Pot, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, and optional orange zest.
- Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to the sealing position.
- Select the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” function and set it to high pressure for 3 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. Then, carefully release any remaining pressure.
- Open the lid and stir the cranberry sauce. It will thicken as it cools.
- If you prefer a smoother sauce, you can use an immersion blender to blend the cranberry sauce until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Allow the cranberry sauce to cool to room temperature before transferring it to a serving dish.
- Refrigerate the cranberry sauce for at least a couple of hours before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the sauce to set.
- Serve the cranberry sauce as a delightful accompaniment to your holiday meals or as a topping for various dishes.
This Instant Pot cranberry sauce is quick, delicious, and can be made ahead of time for convenience. Adjust the sugar level to suit your taste preferences. Enjoy!
