Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
For brushing:
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs.
- Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the baking dish with the kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for an additional 30-45 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush the tops with additional melted butter.
- Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.
